Preparing your tax return can be a very stressful ordeal, but printing it doesn't have to be! Learn how to print your return from TurboTax Online with this easy step-by-step guide.

TurboTax Online

TurboTax Online offers a Federal Free Edition, a free online tool that helps you prepare your federal income taxes. Once you have entered in all your information, you can choose to e-file your return or print it from the website to send it in by mail.

To print your tax return, first log into your TurboTax account. Click the Print & File tab at the top of the screen. You will be directed to the Get Ready to E-file Your Returns page, but don't worry, you can still print from here. Click Continue to choose the File by Mail option. Click the File by Mail tab at the bottom of the page. Choose which Returns you want to print. Click Continue. Click Continue until you reach the Error Check Results page. This program has searched your return for any errors and will display them here when you click the Fix Federal Errors tab. Once you finish with any errors, click the Continue Printing with Errors tab at the bottom right of your screen. Click Print Returns to Mail. An Adobe reader window will appear with a PDF copy of your return. Click the Print icon in the top left toolbar. A Print Settings/Preview box will open. Correct the sizing of the document if necessary: make it fit on the page, or print the actual size if it is already 8.5"x11". You can choose either single-sided or double-sided; both formats will be accepted by the IRS as long as the documents are clear and readable. Click Print and you are done. When viewing your return, a page titled File by Mail Instructions for your 2011 Federal Tax Return will provide instruction on which forms you will need to include and the address where you should send the documents to.
