With its StylusTM line of printers, Epson was one of the first OEMs offer "Photo cartridges" - ink cartridges that contain not only the primary colors of cyan, yellow, and magenta, but also "photo" versions of these colors - "light cyan" and "light magenta" for example. This innovation allowed for better blending of colors for more natural looking photographs. Professional photographers and causal home users alike quickly scooped up these cheap, high-quality printers. Other breakthroughs such as "lightfast" ink quickly followed. The problem?
